Fr. Isaac Kalina, OSB
Fr. Isaac Kalina, OSB, was born and raised in San Pedro, the Port of Los Angeles.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Detroit. He studied
Theology at St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, and at the Collegio Sant' Anselmo
in Rome, where he specialized in Monastic Spirituality. Fr. Isaac has been a
Benedictine Monk for 23 years and was ordained in 1989. He lives, prays and
works as a monk and priest at St. Andrew's Abbey in Valyermo, California, in
the Mojave Desert. Fr. Isaac serves as Kitchenmaster, Spiritual Director,
and most recently, as an Addictions and Recovery Counselor.
